Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) shall conduct on-demand examination for more than a dozen courses of the University at regional centres - Delhi-1, Delhi-2, Jaipur, Karnal, Madurai, Chennai, Cochin, Ranchi, Bhubneshwar, Aizawl, Jabalpur, Koraput, Jammu, Hyderabad and Dehradun.
On-demand exams will be very beneficial for students and will allow them to choose the date convenient for them to appear in the term-end examinations (TEE) at IGNOU.
According to a report in The Pioneer, on-demand examination will be conducted usually once a week at the University's Regional Centres (RCs) and the student can choose the date convenient to him/her for appearing in the exam. Results of the examination shall be declared within 60 days.
To apply for this, a student will have to register by seeking the online examination form and make payment of examination fee online as per the University rules.
As per instructions, to be eligible for on- demand examinations a student should have pursued the course for the minimum duration prescribed. He/she should have submitted all assignments prescribed for the course. No student will be permitted to take the walk-in-exam without submitting an undertaking to that effect. In case, it is observed that the student did not submit prescribed assignments, the walk-in-exam appeared by the student shall stand cancelled.
